When an Engineering Control's Status is changed, in most cases, the new Status will cascade down to all (or select) effective items. The E/C Status will cascade depending on the previous status.

The following table details which E/C Status changes will cascade to the effective Items.

Note: If the statuses 'Pending' or 'Rejected' are changed to 'Open,' the statuses will not cascade.

When the E/C window is saved, all effective items will adopt the E/C's new status. But if the Reset Status for All Effective Items button is selected (via the General tab), then users can select which items to adopt the E/C's new status.
