Speed Test QryThe Speed Test Query window is designed to quickly and conveniently test the current server and database speed. Results are clearly displayed and account for a variety of the eMRO environment's connectivity parameters. The window is divided into two sections: the Server section at the top, and the Database section at the bottom. Each section has a Start button that must be selected to run the applicable test.
Note: In order for this window to be available in the Security Explorer, the Web Enabled checkbox must be selected in the Control Panel window via System Administration/ Speed Test Qry.
Server Speed Test When the Start Server Speed Test button is selected, the graphic dials at the top of the window display the current Server speed through a variety of parameters. The Server Speed Test includes the following parameters. Download (Mbps) Measures the amount of data in megabytes pulled from the server per second. Upload (Mbps) Measures the amount of data in megabytes sent to the server per second. Ping (ms) Measures the reaction time of the network connection in milliseconds. Jitter (ms) Measures variability in ping over time in milliseconds. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Database Speed Test When the Start Database Speed Test button is selected, the database icons at the bottom of the window display the current Database processing speeds through a variety of parameters. The speed of the database that is currently logged into will be tested. To test other databases on the same server, log in to that database and run the same test. The Database Speed Test includes the following parameters. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Insert Speed (ms) The speed in milliseconds that INSERT commands take on the database. Select Speed (ms) The speed in milliseconds that SELECT commands take on the database. Update Speed (ms) The speed in milliseconds that UPDATE commands take on the database.
