Select the Auto Serial Number Assign button to have the system automatically create and assign serial numbers to all parts in the list.

Once the S/N column has been auto filled, the serial numbers of specific parts can be changed if required.

A Part Number Category can only be changed from Rotable (Serialized) type to an Expendable type if the following conditions are be met.

Error messages are displayed when the appropriate conditions are not met.

• Remove a Part Number position related to the Part Number being changed.
• Remove all Part Number controls.
• Remove any applicable line items from open orders (ex: Exchange Order).
• Remove line items from open picklists.
• Remove affected Serial Numbers from the Aircraft.
• Remove any Part Number Pending Technical Records.
