Inventory Costing Reports

Inventory Costing reports can be produced detailing the value of items held. Reports are available in primary and secondary currency in summary or detail format.

The valuation is produced by combining data from a number of places within the system. Summaries can be produced by part type. Fixed Asset valuations can be produced, or other items' valuation. Inventory Balance reports must be set-up by eMRO before running (please contact your System Administrator for more information). The same valuation reports are available in Secondary currency format (if used within your company), by selecting from the window formats. To view reports, go to G/L Interface/ Print/ Inventory Costing.

Note: As part of the multi company functionality, several Inventory Costing prints (which contain a P/N field) will include the Company related to the transaction including: Inventory Costing for Warehouse, Inventory Costing Summary by G/L, Inventory Local Costing Effectivity, Secondary Currency Detail, and Inventory Costing by Warehouse for Actual Cost.

Note: As an alternative to the inventory monthly parameters, users can organize their inventory closings by periods. This functionality is based on G/L Interface Switch INVBALPERIOD being set to Yes. When set to Yes, the Inventory Costing and Balance prints refer to the pre-determined date Periods created in the Inventory Balance Periods window instead of the months if the year. When set to No, the Inventory Costing and Balance prints refer to the months of the year instead of Periods. For more information refer to Switch INVBALPERIOD via the G/L Planning Switches Manual and the Inventory Balance Periods window via the G/L Interface Training Manual.
