The Release For Authorization button appears throughout the system and allows the user to release Work Orders, Task Cards, E/Cs and in this case a single P/N Software Configuration for authorization.

The user may also release an entire A/C Type/Series for authorization. For more information, refer to the Release A/C Type & Series for Authorization Button, via P/N Software Configuration Authorization of the Settings Training Manual.

From the P/N Software Configuration Authorization window, select the Release For Authorization button.

The Release Authorization pop up window will appear. Select 'Yes' to continue with the release for authorization process.

The P/N Software Configuration is now in 'Pending' authorization status. Notice all the the fields have been greyed out (cannot be updated) and the Release for Authorization has been stamped with the date and time the P/N Software Configuration has been released for authorization.

The P/N Software Configuration has been sent to the P/N Software Configuration Explorer window and can now be authorized.
