P/N Software Configuration Authorization Management, General Tab

The P/N Software Configuration Authorization Management, General tab is used to query for P/N Software Configurations that are pending authorization based on the following search criteria. Enter any of the below search criteria to query for a desired P/N Software Configuration and select the Find button.

As with the majority of the query selections on the system, it is better to select as many parameters as required to minimize the search result.

The following information/options are available in this window:

A/C Type/Series

The Aircraft Type and Series/Fleet assignment.

Equipment Reference Designator

The aircraft position ERD (Equipment Reference Designator) reference. This is the physical position on the aircraft where the hardware part is installed.

Software Location ID

The Software Location Identification (SLID) code. The SLID is where the software for the part is loaded onto the hardware part's ERD location. One ERD may have multiple SLIDs as a hardware part may have multiple software components.

P/N

The Part Number reference for the aircraft part.

P/N Software

The software part that is installed on the aircraft for the hardware part.

Revision

The P/N Software Configuration revision.

Description

The P/N Software Configuration description.

Release For Authorization button

This icon indicates that the P/N Software Configuration has not yet been released for authorization.Select this button will take the user to the P/N Software Configuration Authorization window. This window will allow the user to release the P/N software Configuration for authorization and offers additional functionality.
